From the dawn of time, Native Americans, Africans, Celts and others have used versions of the Box or Tongue Drum to send messages across mystic jungles or for plain muscial pleasure.  This modern toy version is made with either a Poplar or Oak body and Maple drum head.  The six tongues give a soft tone that is pleasing to the ear and reminiscent of Native American drums in old western movies.  Even the very young novice drummer can make pleasing music with the drum and an experienced drummer has to be heard to be believed.  Each drum comes with two drum sticks.
