Sweet Sawdust was founded in 1995 as a one man manufacture of small toys and games. I wanted to bring back some of the toys that were disappering from our society. Since that time I have expanded the range of toys I make and even make the occasonial piece of furniture. In 1999 we formed the Lakeland Artisians Guild to further the making of quality handicrafts and the knowledge of them. Here you will find the work of some of the members of that Guild as well as other items we feel are worth preserving in our cluture. Each of the items you find here are not the items you can buy at the "Big Box Stores", but items made by artisains who loveingly craft each item one at a time. You are buying not only the item but a part of each artisain who makes the product. If you have special needs for an item contact us, we can make it to your specifications. If you want a box out of walnut with your name engraved on it we can do that, If you want a doily in red instead of white, we can do that. Need something you have seen but can't find contact us. Feel free to contact us about any of our products. When you contact us you are getting the person who makes the item, not someone who has a spec sheet on it.

Here you have me (Curran Copeland) doing what I do most of the time, make toys. In the near future I'll put in a picture of one of our other crafters in their natural habitat.
